The two leaders are scheduled to meet over breakfast at the State Guest House and again for dinner at the chief minister's official residence today.

The meeting gains significance after JDU’s consistent insistence for playing big bother role in Bihar and on that BJP’s comment on Monday that “no one is the big brother except the people”.

It is pertinent to mention here that since a long time JDU is saying that Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar will play a big brother role in the state during the Lok Sabha elections 2019.

Shah will be in Kerala tomorrow, in UP on July 4 and 5, in Jharkhand on July 11 and in Bihar on July 12 before he concludes the exercise on July 22 with meetings in Mumbai with various party wings of Maharashtra and Goa, BJP sources said.

Owaisi even challenged the Congress to contest from Hyderabad and said even if both parties (BJP, Congress) join hands, they won't be able to defeat AIMIM.

During the visit, Shah is expected to hold a series of meetings with party workers and intellectuals in Kolkata and Howrah

In a string of tweets, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chief said that whatever happened during the time of the PDP-BJP rule in the state was in accordance with the Agenda of Alliance (AoA) the two parties had drawn up.

In a statement, Congress spokesperson Randeep Singh Surjewala said Amit Shah had no business to lecture the Congress on nationalism and that the BJP would never be able to realise the hard work which the UPA did to usher peace in Jammu and Kashmir.

The BJP chief alleged that when the Congress leaders make remarks on Kashmir, Lashkar-e-taiba comes forward to support them.

Shah is scheduled to address a rally in the city to mark the 65th death anniversary of Bhartiya Jan Sangh founder Syama Prasad Mookerjee.
